Pascal Mollin, Thorsten Heiser (Wave System)...
Wave System is the project of Pascal Mollin and Thorsten Heiser from Frankfurt, Germany. After making music in various acts, and solo, since the 90s, they decided in 2009 to team up to create a new powerful sound ranging from Minimal to Progressive House. Where as in their tracks Pascal represents the pumpin' beat-part of Wave System, Thorsten brings in the melodic element.
Pascal Mollin -- born in 1968 - is a DJ, producer and live act. At the age of 14 Pascal started his DJ'ing activities after he visited the legendary club Dorian Gray for the first time. He was so inspired by the feeling and the vibes of club music that he decided to start buying records and DJ'ing. By 18 he worked as a DJ in the Frankfurt based club UNO. At the same time he started clubbing and was part of many amazing parties in clubs like Vouge, Plastik, XS, Music-Hall, Dorian Gray, Space , Amnesia, Omen and many more. At Dorian Gray - one of the birthplaces of Techno music - Pascal met Ramin Nagachian and produced with him in 1991 his first tracks which were published on via Planet Core Production on their sub label Dance Ecstasy 2001. Then he also started DJ'ing in the small room of Dorian Gray and other clubs and parties. After buying his own studio equipment Pascal produced tracks for the labels Labworks and Frankfurt Beat Productions.
1993 he met Michael Kohlbecker and started the project Eternal Basement. Sven Väth and his label Harthouse liked the sound and signed Eternal Basement in 1994. From 1993 to 1995 Michael and Pascal produced for Harthouse legendary tracks like "Kraft", "Takin Place In You" and the concept LP Nerv which produced favourite tracks in Sven Väth's and many other international top DJ's playlists. With Eternal Basement he peformed live at many festivals like the first Nature One and other big Techno events.
10 years later his passion for electronic music is stronger than ever. 2007 he discovered the virtual world Second Life and it's club scene, and was suprised to find many top DJ's like Cari Leckebusch, Luke Slater, Steve Parker, Funkangenda spinning there. Since 2007 he spins continious in many Second Life underground clubs like Code 415, The Factory and other club and events. Pascal's DJ style is a mix of Minimal, Techno and House. Not too strong but always powerfull and hypnotic. 2007 Pascal released the EP Virtuality under his virtual name Artec Amat.
Thorsten Heiser, born in 1977, was infected with electronic music since his early childhood days -- following various charts, radiostations and the, in Germany, famous HR3 Clubnight all day long. With the upcoming Techno-era in the beginning of the 90's he decided to start musical projects on his own. Solo or with various partners he managed to get a good reputation in the mid-nineties "tracker"- and demo-scene where he released several tracks in mailboxes (yes -- before the internet was there...) in demo- & reelase-groups like MSC and fACt!. The track "Die Moldau '95" has been released on the scene-compilation "Groovy Bytes Vol. 1". Later he managed to get a release on an English label with the pumpin Hardtrance track "Daylight".
